Mikaela Made is a queer Māori dance videographer and creative based in Tāmaki Makaurau, Aotearoa, specialising in dance, battle, performance, showcase, and community event coverage.

With 15+ years of filming experience, Mikaela’s work is grounded in long-term documentation of movement culture — from All Star Cheerleading competitions in 2010 - 2011, The Palace Dance Studio’s showcases in 2015 - 2018, and street dance kaupapa from 2018 until today.

Mikaela blends dance knowledge, technical filming, and community understanding to capture movement with intention.

As both a dancer and videographer, Mikaela brings an informed eye to timing, musicality, freestyle, performance energy, and crowd atmosphere.

Her style is influenced by K-pop fancams and street dance culture, with a focus on smooth camerawork, clean framing, immersive vertical video, and movement that flows with the dancer.
